BETTY L. WRIGHT

Fort Fairfield – Betty L. Wright, 82, passed away Sunday afternoon, August 8, 2021 at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, after a period of declining health. She was born August 14, 1938 in Vanceboro, the daughter of Luke and Pauline (Mills) Gardiner. Betty attended school in Aroostook Junction, New Brunswick and had been employed by Burrelle’s Press Clipping Service, for over fifteen years. She later established “Best Friends Upholstery” in Fort Fairfield with Eunice Estey, which they ran for over ten years. Betty ended her working career at Burrelle’s, retiring in 2007. Betty resided in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas for a number of years where she attended the Assembly of God, and returned to Aroostook County in May of this year. She enjoyed attending church, studying the Bible, listening to gospel music, and being surrounded by her family. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her first husband, Robert E. Wright on March 17, 1996; her second husband, Russell E. Klein on April 10, 2021; one son, Timothy J. Wright; two grandchildren, Brittney Marie Wright and Robert J.L. Wright. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Arlene Wright of Fort Fairfield, Michael A. and Corrina Wright of Caribou; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and John Price of Panama City, FL, Mabel and Roger Pelkey of Carlingford, New Brunswick, Sandra and Weldon Bartlett of Andover, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Christopher Ouellette and his companion Taylor Everett of Fort Fairfield, Sarah L. Wright and her companion Andrew McHatton of Caswell, Rebecca A. Cote-Nickerson of Presque Isle, Michelle Rockwell and her husband Justin of Caribou; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A graveside service was conducted at 12:30 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Betty to the Maine Homeless Veterans Alliance, P.O.
