GLADYS P. KEEGAN

Fort Fairfield – Gladys P. Keegan, 89, wife of the late Percy J. Keegan, passed away Wednesday morning May 27, 2020, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born November 13, 1930 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Warren and Ethel (Sprague) Hayes. She was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1948 and had been employed as a bank teller at the Fort Fairfield Northern National Bank, retiring from Peoples Heritage Bank in 1997. Gladys was a member of the Caribou Calvary Baptist Church and generously volunteered her time with the Aroostook Area Agency on Aging for many years. In addition to her parents, Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Percy Keegan; two brothers, Clayton and Kenneth Hayes. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Kendra Keegan of North Berwick, Dale and Lisa Keegan of Fort Fairfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Carla Hayes of Easton, Donald and Linda Hayes, Michael and Ann Hayes, all of Fort Fairfield; two sisters, Myrtle Johnson of Mesquite, TX, and Shirley Hubeli of Houston, TX; six grandchildren and spouses, Sarah and Joshua Allard, Kaelyn Couture and her fiancé Tony Cole, all of Shapleigh, Tyler Bernaiche of Omaha, NB, Scott and Kaitlin Bernaiche, Keiza and Matthew Rochford, Darby Keegan, all of Fort Fairfield; six great grandchildren, Ethan and Bryce Allard of Shapleigh, Lainey and Ryan Rochford, Landon and Gavin Bernaiche, all of Fort Fairfield; numerous nieces and nephews. Due to current restrictions on gatherings, private calling hours and funeral services will be conducted at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will take place at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Gladys to S.T.R.I.V.E., 39 Darling Avenue, South Portland, Maine 04106.
