Former Trump Attorney Sued for Defamation. Says "No Reasonable Person" Would have Believed Her
Sydney Powell's Sideshow Could Have Been a Covert Psychological Warfare Tactic to Derail Trump Supporters as Part of a Soviet-Style Disinformation Campaign

Attorney Sydney Powell, who became famous during the post-election presidential election fiasco in November, 2020 by suggesting Dominion Voting machines were compromised, is now being sued by Dominion for libel and slander. The defense to such a lawsuit is that it's the truth, but Powell's curious answer to the complaint1 is that it was protected political speech which is not actionable.
Adam Klasfeld from the online website, www.lawandcrime.com reported on March 22, 2021; “Facing more than $1.3 billion in liabilities over her post-election conspiracy theories, lawyer Sidney Powell told a judge that the defamation lawsuit Dominion Voting Systems filed against her earlier this year should be dismissed because ‘no reasonable person’ would believe that her well-publicized comments about an international plot against former President Donald Trump were ‘statements of fact.’”2
“‘Given the highly charged and political context of the statements, it is clear that Powell was describing the facts on which she based the lawsuits she filed in support of President Trump,’ her attorneys wrote in a 54-page motion to dismiss on Monday, noting that Dominion characterized her theories as ‘wild accusations’ and ‘outlandish claims.’”
“They are repeatedly labeled ‘inherently improbable’ and even ‘impossible,’ the motion to dismiss continues, referring to the conspiracy theories peddled by Powell, her law firm and her non-profit group Defending the Republic. ‘Such characterizations of the allegedly defamatory statements further support defendants’ position that reasonable people would not accept such statements as fact but view them only as claims that await testing by the courts through the adversary process.’”
There were multiple political theatrical productions taking place in the waning months of 2020 and on into 2021. While most of the stories by Powell, attorney, Lin Wood and others were making unsubstantiated claims about voting machines, what they were really doing - whether intentional or not - was distracting from the real voting fraud that occurred in plain site in four of the key states - Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin - having their election rules fraudulently and illegally changed by local voting clerks, secretaries of state and/or courts despite the fact that the U.S. Constitution specifically grants the power to set election law with the state legislatures alone - not the courts, voting clerks or other political operatives. If these four states had actually followed their own laws regarding election integrity, and counted only the legitimate votes, Donald Trump would still be president. But, the media and a gaggle of seemingly “pro-Trump” attorneys continued to distract and obfuscate from that glaring fact by promoting an endless stream of side-show style legal arguments to keep the American people in general and Trump supporters in particular off topic and out of focus from the real theft of the presidential election by the Democrat party.
The defamation lawsuit Powell is now defending herself against can be successfully defended if her statements are actually true and were not given with any actual malice. So far, Powell has not suggested either.
“They are hiding behind proving actual malice, a very high bar. They [Powell, et al] have little choice to do so, they’re fried otherwise,” wrote commentator, cajunangelle on the online forum, tigerdroppings.com3. “You also will recall that the truth is the best defense to defamation, and that claim is never made. [Powell's 50-plus] pages of mumbo-jumbo that can be summarized by this: We tried to stir things up by throwing shite against the wall to see what would stick.”
“What if the truth of the intel she was getting was purposeful disinformation from our own CIA and foreign countries like Ezra Cohen said?” cajunangell goes on. “What if the democrats did indeed cheat; but not in the exact way that Powell's intel was fed to her and Flynn? What if Dominion was just a tool and not direct voter fraud? Proving our CIA & DNI are corrupt is impossible unless they are dismantled. Trump should have formed a large commission of all govt agencies investigated. As they are no longer serving at the pleasure of the non democrat- President; and no longer serving the people - but serving the democrats & GOPe.”
On November 22, 2020, President Trump's legal team, headed up by Rudy Giuliani distanced themselves from Powell due to her controversial claims that have now gotten her into so much trouble.
On December 3, in the run-up to the Georgia Senate revote, CBS46 reported that “former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, who supports President Donald Trump, pushed back against local attorney Lin Wood and former Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell saying their strategies will 'cripple America.’”4
“Lin Wood and Sidney Powell are totally destructive. Every Georgia conservative who cares about America MUST vote in the runoff. Their dont [sic] vote strategy will cripple America,” Gingrich tweeted Thursday morning.
But Powell's theatrical production seemed to be a small part of a much larger effort strategically designed to suck in Trump supporters, redirect their energy and enthusiasm, cast them and the president in a bad light and ultimately allow the Left Wing News the ability to discredit them entirely via these straw man style arguments. Stepping back and taking a wide angle view, it appears the whole charade of alleged Trump advocates claiming he's still in power and will remain so may have been part of a psychological warfare operation modeled after the former Soviet Union's “Operation Trust” where communist oppressors who violently took over the government set forth fake patriots to give the impression to their Russian detractors that there were movements afoot within the government that would rout the communist aggressors out, when in reality there was no such plan in place, in order to siphon off and redirect their political energy to make them less effective.
In addition to Sydney Powell advancing hyperbolic claims about Dominion Voting systems, Attorney Lin Wood; along with Obama's former Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Michael Flynn; businessman, Mike Lindell; and former U.S. intelligence agent, Dr. Steve Pieczenick also promoted various theories and some a supposed secret “sting” operation Trump was going to initiate against Biden and company or that Trump would simply remain in power four more years.
Other alleged “Operation Trust”-style disinformation campaign provocateurs were;
- Simon Parkes, a member of the far left socialist Labour party in the UK. He grew up in a family that had links to British and American intelligence.5 After the election, he rose to prominence in the pro-Trump community by promoting a theory of a secret sting operation and that Trump would claim the presidency on March 4, 2021.
- The anonymous and faceless author of “X22 Report” drew in millions of Trump supporters and redirected them away from focusing on the fraudulent elections in the aforementioned states by continuing to push the narrative throughout the election debacle that Trump was going to stay in the White House four more years via a secret military-style coup against Biden and company.
- Q-Anon - an anonymous poster(s) that had continually deceived people regarding the Trump situation also appears to be part of the operation to covertly redirect the energy of the Trump supporters.
On January 6, 2021, when the arguments about the four states' election laws being disobeyed were to be brought up in the U.S. Senate during the electoral college vote certification, a stage-managed and highly scripted and choreographed “siege” of the U.S. capitol took place with a few dozen agents provocateur who were allowed into the capitol building, as House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi scaled back the Capitol Police force on that day, with the hopes of luring in as many of the thousands of peaceful Trump supporters as they could in order to generate a stream of left wing news media images to be used against Trump and his supporters. While a couple hundred Trump supporters took the bait and streamed through the capitol building like tourists, taking selfies with their cell phones, the left wing provocateurs were unable to generate the kind of movement and imagery it had hoped for. But, that didn't stop the Left Wing News media from staying on script and labeling those Trump supporters as “insurgents” and calling the “siege” a “New Pearl Harbor” when it was in fact a perfectly planned and orchestrated propaganda event by the Left to seize untold new powers in D.C. and label anyone who disagrees with their political position as “domestic terrorists.”
Political commentator, An0maly noted in a thought-provoking YouTube video6 how Trump's supporters shouldn't have been so easily misled by the psychopolitical operators, but they were. “I guess it's that easy to fool people when you want to have hope in something, like a secret sting operation that never existed in the first place,” said An0maly. “They're lying to you, but that might be part of their plan; you just don't know it.”
At the end of the day, the left and the right are playing a cat and mouse game against the American people and using political theater, drama, social media and establishment news media propaganda to at once divide the people into a multitude of fractured groups and keep everyone fighting amongst themselves in order to deflect attention away from the indisputable election fraud that really did happen in plain site, the exponentially increasing national debt and bankruptcy of the U.S. government, and finally the destruction of the rights and freedoms enjoyed by Americans for over two centuries, but so despised by those in power who want to rule via executive fiat over those distracted, politically ignorant, but perhaps otherwise well-meaning Americans; most of whom have no idea of how they are being played by the global elitists who have hi-jacked the U.S. government for their own profit and gain.
