Dr. Naomi Wolf Was Keynote
Speaker at Five Freedoms Rally

AUGUSTA, Maine - Around 250 people showed up in the rain at the steps of the State Capitol in Augusta on April 28 to hear Dr. Naomi Wolf at the kickoff for her Five Freedoms Rally. Dr. Wolf is a Rhodes Scholar, former advisor to the Clinton and Gore campaigns, and author of eight NYT nonfiction bestsellers. She has been creating globally influential opinion for 28 years. Dr. Wolf is also CEO of DailyClout, bringing the Five Freedoms Campaign to Maine.
The Five Freedoms are enumerated as: 1.) No Vaccine Passports; 2.) No Mask Mandates; 3.) No Emergency Law; 4.) Open Schools Up 100%; and 5.) Freedom of commerce, worship, petition.
“In the last year, we've all been separated from one another in our rooms, our bedrooms, our living rooms and by force of law. There's a reason we've been separated from one another and it's not based on science,” Dr. Wolf told the crowd of freedom loving supporters. “As it turns out, there are thirty three studies now that my institute has collected that show that the whole lockdown policy which has restricted lives, stunted education, crushed businesses driven many people in the developing world to starvation; the whole lockdown policy doesn't work. It was a catastrophic mistake. It didn't work. The science is in. It didn't work, it's not based on reality, it's based on some sort of medieval fantasy conjecture.”
Speaking as a former policy consultant, Dr. Wolf noted there was a sinister reason for the separation caused by quarantines and lockdown that had nothing to do with stopping a virus. “There's a reason [they] forced us to get all of our information from the news media and from digital platforms. I heard this about twelve years ago. I saw from looking at history there are ten things a would-be dictator always does, whether that person is on the left, or on the right, ten steps that always work to close democracy. You start by invoking a terrifying internal or external threat - it can be based on a real threat like terrorism was used to strip our rights, it was very real. Coronavirus has been very real. Then you hype it, you go on to a greater surveillance state. You go on to create places that are beyond the rule of law like Guantanamo. You go on to criminalize dissent and crush critics of the government; call them saboteurs or enemies of the state. The last step is to suspend the rule of law and declare emergency law. That is step ten.”
“There's no going back from step ten without terrible things happening, as history shows. For twelve years we've been almost there, almost there, but we pulled back from the brink. Well, I'm here to tell you this is step ten. Fourteen months in Maine, 'emergency law'; that is step ten. That is the end of America, the end of democracy so you don't have any time to waste.”
“The other thing I found out from being a political consultant was the people don't have a seat at the table; special interests do, lobbyists do. There are many good people, many I have met here trying to represent your interests, but the system is stacked against them to even do their job because the people don't have a seat at the table.”
Dr. Wolf co-founded Daily Clout with her colleague Tony O'Scali who she says has been so helpful. “We've been joined by a wonderful lawyer and other wonderful people. Daily Clout is where the Five Freedoms campaign was launched,” said Dr. Wolf. “I always wondered why can't the people draw up the bills and bring them to their state legislatures or to Congress. Why does it have to be the other way around. That's what we've done and we have a fantastic lawyer who's drafting the bills and there's a fantastic No Vaccine Passport bill that you guys should get behind. This is a national campaign, a national movement, a global movement, we're kicking it off here.
She noted how the legislative chamber in the State capitol is now empty, which is very disconcerting. “That chamber was constructed so that there's a gallery and the gallery means the people can watch the legislature in session and they can talk to each other and they can observe and it's transparent, it's accountable. Well, where is the legislature now? They're meeting in the Civic Center, right. I can't go there, [you can't] go there. Do you know what that is? That is East Germany in the 50's. That is not America.”
She remarked on Governor Mills recently removing her arbitrary face mask mandate for outdoor settings. “It's not over but I'm showing you your power. Everyone [in the media] doesn't want to show you your power as tyrants are ruling us. Look at the timing. This [event] was happening, other things were happening, people were connecting and networking. There was scrutiny on this tyrannical group of people who have seized Maine. So, they gave a little bit of something. That's how politics works. You have to keep going.”
She concluded, “I get so sad when I think that we're losing everything so quickly but when I see you all and when I leave here I'm going to be feeling stronger and braver and heartened and like I've seen Americans again.”
The event was put together by State Representative, Heidi Sampson, from Alfred along with other pro-freedom Republican legislators. Also speaking at the event was Kevin D. Jenkins, a public speaker and transformational executive with an impressive track record who is leading the charge at Urban Global Health Alliance as CEO/Founder and at Freedom Travel Alliance as CMO/Founder. Jenkins is a lifelong champion for human rights in the black community and as the founder of Urban Global Health Alliance, he shows his dedication to these rights.
Rep. Sampson warned that the internet and cellular phone service could be ultimately taken down in an effort to silence those who are resisting tyranny, as Big Tech has recently done to former President Donald Trump.
