WHOU 100.1 FM radio recently made a sizeable donation to the Aroostook League, the High School sports organization that encompasses all High School Sports in Aroostook County.

“We are pleased to be able to support the Aroostook League this season,” said WHOU station owner, Fred Grant.

During a recent pre-game ceremony at Central Aroostook High School, long-time basketball announcer, Ken Holck presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to the Aroostook League for the student-athlete Scholarship Fund.

WHOU has posted a link on the basketball streaming page at whoufm.com for those of you who may like to donate to the scholarship fund. “Many deserving players from our communities will benefit from your donations,” said Grant.

WHOU provides live coverage of many area High School basketball games throughout the winter sports season with both radio broadcasting and online webcasting of the video and audio of the games.
