FORT FAIRFIELD—The Fort Fairfield V.F.W. Post 6187 in Fort Fairfield has raised about half of the $25,000 needed for their new veteran's memorial. They are now conducting a bottle drive to aid in their fundraising efforts. The drive will run through the end of November.

Bottles may be redeemed at the following redemption centers: Four Daughters, in Fort Fairfield; Parsons Street Redemption, Rick’s Redemption and Presque Isle Redemption, in Presque Isle; Bennett Drive Redemption and DoDo’s in Caribou; and Mars Hill Redemption. Just mention it is a donation for the Veterans Memorial at Post 6187 in Fort Fairfield. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your continued support of our vets. For more info call Donna Ireland at 551-3150.

In addition to the bottle drive, Post 6187 is also offering personally engraved bricks that will be featured at the new memorial.  Bricks can have up to three lines of text and cost $35.00 each.  For more info on the bricks, contact John Holschuh at 472-6005
