CORA M. STEWART

Fort Fairfield – Cora M. Stewart, 88, passed away unexpectedly, November 6, 2017 at a Caribou healthcare facility. She was born March 14, 1929 in Guerrette, the daughter of Joe and Emma (Boucher) Dionne. She attended Guerrette schools and was married to George Stewart. Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Celebration Center, Fort Fairfield, had been employed as a cook at the Victory Restaurant, Charco Chef, and Vaughn House, all of Caribou, and Nippers Restaurant of Fort Fairfield. Cora enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George; and a special friend, Hugh Murchison; and several siblings. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Camille Saucier of Fort Fairfield; two sisters, Corine Schuler of Kingfield, Madeline Little of Bomall, PA; two grandchildren and their spouses, Michael and Elizabeth Saucier of Winslow, Kim and Dickie Flemmings of Limestone; two great grandchildren, Brandon Saucier of Connor, Demetric Flemmings of Limestone; one great great grandchild, Cash Saucier of Connor; numerous nieces and nephews. Cora also leaves behind many special friends, including Sandra Thornton and Jeanie Van Aman, both from Fort Fairfield. Friends called Thursday November 9, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield, where the funeral service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev.
