ROBERT R. MILLIARD

Fort Fairfield – Robert R. Milliard, 77, husband of Bonnie D. (Gallagher) Milliard, passed away Monday evening, May 18, 2015 at a Westfield assisted living facility, following an extended illness. He was born November 4, 1937 in Fort Fairfield, the son of Ranie and Bertha (Gervais) Milliard. He attended Fort Fairfield schools as was married to Bonnie D. Gallagher on March 31, 1961. Robert was a lifelong communicant of the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield and had been a member of the Fort Fairfield Knights of Columbus Council Number 1753. He had been employed by Vashlsing enterprises during the 1960’s, the A&P and Interstate Foods, Fort Fairfield. He later became employed by the Fort Fairfield Housing Authority for a number of years and also worked for Riverside Cemetery Corporation prior to his retirement. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, long country rides, picking fiddleheads and working in his rather large garden with his old David Bradley Tractor, giving away most of his harvest to those who truly needed it. His generous spirit was truly appreciated by many many people. His greatest enjoyment was playing his guitar and singing with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Milliard was predeceased by one grandson, Carl Robert Langley in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Milliard of Fort Fairfield; two sons, Robert M. Milliard and his companion Shelley Fulton, William R. Milliard and fiancé Heather; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Lee Langley, all of Fort Fairfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Susan Milliard of Collinsville, CT, Roger and Helen Milliard of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Maxine Brooker of Fort Fairfield; grandchildren, Heather Aguedelo of Plainville, CT, Isaiah and Jaton Milliard, both of Fort Fairfield, Keith Langley of New Braunfels, TX, Danielle and her husband Josh Flannery of Uxbridge, MA, Lawrence, Leigha, Jasmine and Harleigh Langley, Andrew, Rachel, Audrey, Ava and Hayden Milliard, all of Fort Fairfield; two great grandchildren, Genna and Kailyn Aguedelo of Plainville, CT; numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Parish of the Precious Blood, St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
