CHRISTINE M. GARVEY

 

Easton – Christine M. Garvey, 77, wife of the late Alfred Garvey, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2015 at a Presque Isle healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born July 28, 1937 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Clayton and Kathleen (Osser) Nichols. Christine was raised in Easton, where she attended local schools and had been employed over the years by several area restaurants. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafting teddy bears and dolls. She will also be remembered by many as being a wonderful cook. In addition to her parents, Christine was predeceased by her husband Alfred; and one brother, Joseph Nichols. She is survived by two sons Rick Garvey of East Brookfield, MA, George Garvey of Southbridge, MA; three daughters, Roxanne Arguin and her husband Paul of East Brookfield, MA, Cindy Garvey of Eagle Lake, and Tammy Garvey of Rutland, MA; two brothers, Lawrence Nichols and William Nichols, both of Easton; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest with her late husband at Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer, MA. Box 13067, Alexandria, VA 22312. “The Garvey’s don’t last long but we are always strong. We are sorry you didn’t see mothers day, and we all love you Mom” from you children.
