ADA L. BRIGHT

Fort Fairfield & Caribou – Ada L. Bright, 85, wife of John T. Bright, passed away Friday morning, January 11, 2019 at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. She was born August 20, 1933 in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Robert and Gladys (Ginson) Murphy. She attended Fort Fairfield schools and was a life member of the VFW Paul Lockhart Post 6187 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an extremely hard worker who always helped others. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed long walks throughout the Fort Fairfield community. Ada was predeceased by her parents; her husband John; one daughter, Vicky Bright; and twelve siblings. She is survived three sons, Thomas Bright of Presque Isle, Wade Bright and his companion Jackie Everett of Fort Fairfield, Ricky Bright and his wife Michelle of Presque Isle; two daughters, Katherine Schieber and her husband Fred of Caribou, Deborah Belanger of Titusville, FL; five grandchildren, Robert and Christopher Belanger, both of Florida, Ryan Schieber of Caribou, Katie Bright of Presque Isle, Lily Rose Fearon of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be conducted at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring with Rev. Kevin Kinsey officiating. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mrs. Bright to the Maine Veterans Home Memorial Fund, 163 Van Buren Road, Caribou, Maine 04736.
