The current graduation rate for Fort Fairfield High School stands at 84.2%, a sizable increase from the 66% rate of just three years ago.
“This is great, but we have some bumps in the road coming,” said superintendent, Marc Gendron. “The bumps in the road are coming in the next two years. I'm very pleased, this puts us in the top half of all the schools in the State.”
Gendron says the small class sizes at FFHS causes the graduation rate to swing quickly with the change of just a couple of students. “We have a couple of small graduating classes coming up, we're doing the best we can. We're fundamentally changing the way we're trying to address this issue and it's really worked well. I'm very proud of all the work we've done on that graduation rate. We're doing everything we can to make kids successful as long as we can.”
